Daniel Bertram (AB'87) is a member of the Harvard Club of Princeton. (You've met him at Welcome to Princeton, TGIF and the Book Club).
He is also a concert pianist!
He started studying piano at age 5 and never stopped. In high school, he soloed with the Honolulu Symphony, and was a semi-finalist in the ASU international piano competition. He performed 7 solo recitals at Harvard between 1984 and 1987. His main teachers were Patricia Zander and Wha-Kyung Byun of the New England Conservatory and Constance Keene of Manhattan School of Music. In 2011, he was a semifinalist in the Van Cliburn Amateur Piano Competition. His repertoire includes works by Stravinsky, Liszt, Balakirev, Chopin, Prokofiev, Bartok, Schumann, Beethoven, Bach, Ravel, Debussy, and Brahms.
