Legacy of Light
A deliciously quirky, entertaining comedy with subtle ironies, wry humor, and intellectual depth.
Date: Thursday, March 27, 2025
Time: Meet at McCarter at 7PM / Performance at 7:30PM
Place: McCarter Theater, 91 University Place, Princeton, NJ
In present-day Princeton, an astrophysicist is discovering new planets while dreaming of starting a family. Meanwhile, in 18th century Paris, Émilie du Châtelet, a brilliant physicist whose genius inspired the work of Voltaire and influenced Einstein, is running out of time before her baby arrives. Across the ages, but under the same star-filled sky, their stories intertwine in LEGACY OF LIGHT, a bright and funny play about life, the universe, parenthood, and the legacy we leave behind.
ARRIVE AT 7PM that afternoon and gather with other Harvard alumni in the lobby of the Matthews Theater for good conversation before the 7:30PM performance. Wear crimson so we can easily find each other.
RSVP BEFORE NOON ON FRIDAY, MARCH 14. We have reserved excellent seats for this performance. Unsold tickets will be released for sale to the general public after that date and time.
