Explore the vanished world of the Russian country estate. Russian studies scholar Priscilla Roosevelt brings to life these magnificent aristocratic dwellings, discussing their origins, design, and decoration; the social, family, and cultural life within their walls; and their demise after the 1917 revolution.
As we did last year, we are departing from our traditional sit-down dinner. To allow for more conversation and connection, we’ve moved to a cocktail party, passed hors d’oeuvres format. (A meal's worth of appetizers. Wine and beer are included.)
You’ll have time to renew old acquaintances and meet new friends while enjoying Chef Manuel Perez’s (Best Chefs America) delicious selections. And then Professor Roosevelt will take us back to pre-revolution Russia.
Plan to stay after the presentation for dialog and paella!
