Whether you are an entrepreneur or someone interested in discussing innovations that you can apply to your business or your career, join us for breakfast! Our HARVARD ENTREPRENEURS' BREAKFAST is an informal opportunity (usually) on the first Friday of every month for Harvard Alumni to meet, drink some joe, connect, and share ideas and opportunities.
July's topic will be Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition, led by David Chen, MBA'96. While startup is the classic entrepreneurial pathway, acquisition of an existing business is another route. This could be a successful regional business run by a Boomer preparing for retirement, or a collection of related businesses which struggle on their own but could prosper as a rollup. This opportunity has two sides - for the entrepreneur/operator and for investors who fund "Search Funds" (which search for these potential acquisitions). David will lead us through this interesting topic.
