Dr. Mark R. Beissinger will lead a discussion regarding the situation in Ukraine. Events there are obviously developing quickly and this discussion could not be more timely.
Dr. Beissinger currently teaches at Princeton University and previously taught at Harvard University. He is the author of many books and his recent writings have dealt with the 2004 Orange Revolution in Ukraine, the impact of new social media on opposition movements in autocratic regimes, Russian imperialism, nationalism and democracy, and recent revolutionary episodes.
