DEMOCRACY IS IN RETREAT in many countries throughout the world - Hungary, Poland, Turkey, the Philippines, Brazil, India, and others. Most scholars also believe it is under threat in the United States.
PROFESSOR MICHAEL KLARMAN, the Kirkland & Ellis Professor of Law at Harvard Business School, will discuss the sources of that threat, its severity, and what might be done to consolidate democracy. The evening will include a question and answer session that, given current political circumstances here at home in the United States, promises to be lively, engaging, and thought provoking.
