Daniil Trifonov, the 21-year-old Russian wunderkind, won both the Artur Rubinstein and the Tchaikovsky piano competitions last year and then added a sensational New York debut recital with the New York Philharmonic to complete a perfect "trifecta".  London critic Norman Lebrecht said it best: “This is a major artist, phenomenally gifted and almost fully formed, with fresh ideas and a winning stage presence that is quite irresistible.”

This February Daniil will bring to McCarter a program which includes Scriabin’s Sonata No. 2, the monumental Liszt Sonata in b, and Chopin’s 24 Preludes Op. 28.  Click here to read The New York Times' article about his debut this past fall with the New York Philharmonic.

Daniil Trionov has kindly agreed to meet HCOP members immediately after this performance for an exclusive question and answer session!  Rarely will you have such an opportunity to obtain first-hand insight and perspectives from such a talented individual.
