Whether as a soloist, chamber musician, recording artist, or most recently, as an orchestra leader and conductor as Music Director of London’s Academy of St Martin in the Fields, Joshua Bell is at home in every endeavor. You can’t miss him on his numerous Live From Lincoln Center specials, and you’ve heard him on movie soundtracks (the Oscar-winning The Red Violin, Iris, The Dreamer, and Defiance). His musical outlook encompasses progressive bluegrass, rock, jazz, and every other genre you can think of, so your music library is bound to include at least one of his more than forty album releases. As a musical statesman, he was also a member of President Obama’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities and a participant in the government’s inaugural cultural mission to Cuba.
