Annual Spring Dinner with Guest Speaker Emily Mann

Our featured speaker will be Harvard alumna and multi-award-winning director/playwright and McCarter Theater Artistic Director Emily Mann.

Emily Mann is completing her 25th season as Artistic Director of McCarter Theatre where she has overseen over 125 productions, was honored with the 1994 Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theater, and accepted the 2013 Tony Award on behalf of McCarter for Best New Play.

 

Join us for dinner on Wednesday, April 22nd when Emily will discuss how she guided McCarter Theater to Tony Award winning status and the various challenges associated with such an achievement.  She will also answer your questions regarding individuals that she has had the pleasure to work with, the creative process, and any other questions that you have always wanted to ask about the theater!

 

Emily holds Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Harvard University, a Masters in Fine Arts from the University of Minnesota, and an Honorary Doctorate of Arts from Princeton University.  She is a Peabody Award winner, has been nominated for Tony Awards as both a director and a playwright, and is the recipient of other honors and tributes too numerous to list in the space available on this page.

 

NOTE: Seating for this event is limited to 56 and this promises to be a sell out. Tickets will be sold on a first come first served bases. So purchase your tickets early.
