HAVE PHARMACEUTICAL FIRMS FOLLOWED THE BIG THREE AUTO MANUFACTURERS?

The Harvard Business School Healthcare Alumni Association has assembled a panel of pharmaceutical industry experts for a spirited discussion on this topic.

Date:               Thursday, April 24, 2014
Time:               6:00PM
Place:               Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, 303A College Road East, Princeton, NJ

On the heels of World War II, America’s auto manufacturers were the undisputed titans of industry. In the 1980s, Chevrolet proclaimed itself the “Heartbeat of America.” Today, some might argue that the American auto industry is on life support. In comparison, America’s pharmaceutical firms have prospered for an extended period of time but continued challenges have made some wonder if our nation's drug firms have followed our auto industry’s painful contraction.

Panelists for this discussion will consist of:

-  Mark Altmeyer, President & CEO of Otsuka Pharmaceuticals
-  David Brennan, Retired CEO of AstraZeneca
-  Matthew Gantz, Executive VP of BTG
-  Wayne Yetter, Chairman of NuPathe

Come join a spirited discussion with experienced executives and alumni from Harvard and other schools in this informal collegial gathering and networking event.  Light refreshments will be served.
